That is why we do not choose equipment based solely on the lowest purchase price. We are also responsible for maintaining and repairing the systems we install.

Spare parts remain available
All spare parts for the AstralPool Cantabric and Berlin filters are available.
We consider this important. When a component needs to be replaced after several years, the entire filter does not automatically need to be replaced.
We can supply and replace individual components, helping ensure that a good-quality filter can continue to be maintained for many years.
Filter sand: still our preferred choice
We mainly work with traditional filter sand.
Based on our experience, we believe that sand still provides excellent and reliable filtration and helps maintain clear pool water.
We also have experience with glass filter media, but our experience with it has been less positive than with traditional sand, particularly in terms of water clarity and the practical issues we encounter.
For this reason, we prefer to use traditional filter sand in the systems we install.
When should filter sand be replaced?
Under normal conditions, filter sand generally lasts around 5 to 10 years.
When the filter sand needs to be replaced, we can open the filter, remove the old filter media and fill it with new filter sand.
Replacing the multiport or 6-way valve
The multiport valve, also known as a 6-way valve, is an important component of a sand filter system.
When installing a new filter, we always replace this valve as well. On an existing installation, we can also replace the multiport valve separately when it needs to be replaced.
Replacing a pool filter
Is your existing pool filter outdated or is the filtration no longer performing optimally?
We can inspect your existing system and advise you on a suitable replacement filter.
We look not only at the filter itself, but also at the pool pump and the rest of the installation.
Matching the pump and filter correctly
The filter works together with the pool pump, so the capacity of both components needs to be properly matched.
When replacing a filter, we assess the entire system. This helps prevent a new filter from being incorrectly matched to the existing pump or water circulation.
